Immanuel Lutheran Preschool Newsletter

The school year is off to a great start! We are excited to welcome all of the new students and families! We have a lot of fun activities planned for the fall! We always welcome and encourage parents to be  involved as much as possible! If you would like to volunteer in the class or help with activities or would like more info about our upcoming events, please contact Brook at (573) 368-8427.

Our STREAM theme for the month is “ Improving Places We Live and Work.” We will be learning about what it takes to build strong homes in different environments. The careers we will be focusing on are architects, engineers, and urban planners. The students will get to build their own models of homes made from several types of materials.

In Religion, we are starting with Genesis, the first book of the Bible. We just completed a lesson on creation and next we will be learning about Adam and Eve, Cain and Able and Noah’s Ark.

EVENTS:

Sunday, Sept. 9th is Christian Education Sunday.  The preschool and Sunday school children will be singing in the church service. Church begins at 9am. Children are to meet at 8:45am downstairs in the church basement.

Monday, Sept. 10th, we will be celebrating Grandparents Day. We would like to invite our grandparents and  families  to come and enjoy a light breakfast with their grandchild along with stories, games, and crafts.

Friday, Sept. 14th at 3:30pm will be the last visit from the Ice Cream truck.

Wednesday, Sept. 17th, the Rolla Public Library will be visiting. The children will get to listen to a few stories and do a craft. The library  will be coming to the preschool on a monthly basis.
