Kindergarten – 1st Grade

Curriculum

Kindergarten

Jesus is the center of all we do in Kindergarten and every subject is taught from a Christian perspective.

Our Religion series is One In Christ by CPH. This series uses colorful bible stories, puppets, and crafts to help students learn more about God and what he has done for us.

Our Communication Arts series is Journey’s by Houghton-Mifflin Harcourt. It helps students learn the basics of reading along with phonics skills with stories that relate to the students.

The math curriculum is through Saxon. We spend time working on numbers and patterns. We use centers and games to help reinforce what we have learned.

Science and Social Studies are incorporated throughout our thematic studies.

We spend 2-3 weeks on a thematic unit of study. We will study themes such as Apples, Animals, Gardens, and much more.

Children who are 5 years old by August 1st are invited to attend Kindergarten at Immanuel Lutheran School.

Our all-day program begins at 8:15AM and ends at 3:15PM Before/After school care is available if needed.
