Jesus is the center of all we do in Kindergarten and every subject is taught from a Christian perspective.
Our Religion series is One In Christ by CPH. This series uses colorful bible stories, puppets, and crafts to help students learn more about God and what he has done for us.
Our Communication Arts series is Journey’s by Houghton-Mifflin Harcourt. It helps students learn the basics of reading along with phonics skills with stories that relate to the students.
The math curriculum is through Saxon. We spend time working on numbers and patterns. We use centers and games to help reinforce what we have learned.
Science and Social Studies are incorporated throughout our thematic studies.
We spend 2-3 weeks on a thematic unit of study. We will study themes such as Apples, Animals, Gardens, and much more.
Children who are 5 years old by August 1st are invited to attend Kindergarten at Immanuel Lutheran School.
Our all-day program begins at 8:15AM and ends at 3:15PM Before/After school care is available if needed.

The new One in Christ curriculum from Concordia Publishing House is used for Religion class. Memory work is recited each Friday.
Saxon Math is used. Students have math homework four nights a week. Math assessments are taken once a week.
New this year is the Communication Arts Curriculum following the Common Core. The new Houghton Mifflin series is used to teach Reading, Language Arts, and Spelling.
Accelerated Reading is used to enhance the reading program. First graders are introduced to this reading program and receive goals during the second semester.
The Social Studies curriculum is from Scott Forseman.
Discovery Works is the Science series from Houghton Mifflin. This series uses many hands on experiments that help get the students interested in Science.
The students have P.E. twice a week. Music, Art, and Choir are once a week.
